10/24/2006 Hello Jaycees! I just wanted to share that the 4th qtr/year end convention is going to be held on Jan 12 - 14. It will be in the Cooperstown Area, and once I have all the details, I will share them with you. I am hoping to have money to share with you to help cover room costs and registration costs. I want to show other chapters why It's All About Batavia!
We are one of the oldest chapters left in the state and I want to show everyone how strong we really are. Mark your calendars now for that weekend. Hey, it's my birthday, so let's celebrate it in style!

9/5/2006 WOW!

That is all I can think of when it comes to what a great day the 5k had! The event was great, Co-Chairs Steve and Jamie did a great job with everything. The Genesee County AIDS Task Force showed up in numbers to help, members of the State Jaycee Team also showed up to help! IT was a really great day and Thank you to EVERYONE that helped make the event what it was.

What a weekend it was at convention! Check out the MDVP section to see all the WOOD that we brought home. I want to say that you guys rock and lets keep it up. We still have plenty more activities to do for the rest of the year. If there is something that interests you, please let anyone on the board know your thoughts. We can't plan it, if you don't tell us!

7/5/2006 HELLO JAYCEES!

Hope your summer is going great! I want to make sure everyone checks out the calendar. I have been doing my best to keep it updated as quickly as events are planned!

I also want to say GREAT JOB to everyone who was at Picnic in the Park. The event went great! We had the State President Pat and Executive Director Andrea present, along with Region West Director Jennifer! They jumped right in to help where it was needed! I also want to say great job to Co-Chairs Sandy and Carrie and the whole committee for working really hard to make this event a success! The rain held off for the event!! Yeah!!

6/12/2006 Hello Jaycees!

Hope everyone is doing well! I just wanted to give a quick note of thanks to everyone who attended the Memorial Day Parade, the party, the Don Carroll Race and to those who went to Buffalo to help the Buffalo Jaycees with there hot dog stand!

SOFTBALLis here! Thursdays nights at 7 pm at Kibbe Park, expect for nights of the GMM! Bring your friends!

Picnic in the Parkis also right around the corner and the committee is working hard planning this event. Details on how you can help are coming soon.

Summer in the City is also on its way, and the Board needs your help in coming up with ideas for a booth. Some ideas have been from face painting to a type of corn cake to a good old fashion bake sale. What do you think? Please send me an email at ankledolphin@hotmail.com and let me know what you think!

Check the calendar out for all the details. Let us know if there is something you want to see happen...the board can't plan for events if you, the members don't tell us what you want!!

I just wanted to let all of you know, that there are plenty of upcoming events coming your way. Hot tub party, convention, growth week activites, gcc phone-thon, ID College, lacrosse game outing, and much more to be planned and announced.

I want to give a big GREAT JOB to COB Jodie on a wonderful Home Show. If you didn't stop in over the weekend....you missed a lot of fun and happy vendors!

So...if you missed the Progressive Dinner, then you missed out on some great food, and you won't have a clue as to what "Benny's Readings" mean!

2/4/2006 Hello Jaycees! One month of 2006 done, 11 more to go! I hope everyone is getting ready for a lot of fun projects! February is a month full of fun, and planning. I have made sure all of our events are listed on the calendar. Just click on the event and more details will pop up. CDVP Steve and I will be sending out membership surveys in the very near future. Please don’t throw them out. They are very helpful to your board in what you want to do for the year. The board needs to hear from you on what type of events you want to attend during the year!

For all those that missed February’s GMM, you missed the swearing in of three, yes three new members! Jamie, Tara and David were all sworn in! Plus you missed what Beaver Bling is!!

So I also want to hear from you on what you want to happen at the GMM’s. Let me know! These are your meetings, the members, and if you don’t speak up, I try to do what you want! Don’t forget to check out the other area messages!! Lots of information coming your way!

1/27/2006 Hello Jaycees....I just wanted to give you a heads up that the Batavia Area Jaycees have been challenged....we NEED 10 members to go to the convention in Saratoga Springs from April 21 - 23. WHY, you ask? So we can have Scott Kingsley steam clean the rugs in the hall!! and mop the stairs. Please contact President Melissa for more details!

1/20/2006 Hello Jaycees! After the board's first official meeting this past week, this year is a year not to be missed. There will be a ton of great things coming your way! Be sure to attend the Feb. 2 GMM to hear all about it.
1/16/2006 I just wanted to let everyone know that my head is swimming from all the conventions I have been too in the past 2 weeks. I was at the Local Presidnets Summit in Tulsa, where the US Jaycee headquarters is located. I was there with other presidents from all over the US and from other countries and then this past weekend at the 2005 Year End Convention, where we did get WOOD!! But I also got a ton of ideas for the upcoming year. I do ask this of all of our members....I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Tell me what you want! I am currently debating on a chapter challenge....Come to the GMM on Feb. 2 to hear what I plan on doing!

1/4/2006 Hello Fellow Jaycees!! Tomorrow is the first General Membership Meeting of the New Year, and I will not be able to attend!!! I will be in Tulsa, at the National Jaycee Headquarters for training all weekend long! I am however looking forward to a very productive and FUN year. If you have any ideas for programs, projects, anything you want us to do, please let anyone on the Board know of these.
